Thankyou if you sent me an email yesterday regarding my "one to watch"
(thanks for the name John), It was pretty spooky that I was that spot
on.
What really got me was that "Lobos" ran so badly, but he also fell out
of favour quite quickly in the betting.
Merdiff was just about joint favourite with "Duelling Banjos" but made
no impression in the end.
It was very close between "Didnt Tell My Wife" and "Duelling Banjos"
but the latter took it by a nose.
A good race and each-way bet!

One of my readers has asked about forecast betting.
This is something I haven't tried before so I would be happy to hear if
you have.
Forecast betting is also known as "Computer Straight Forecast" or (CSF)
where you predict the first two horses home, you have to also state the
the order they will come in at.
Yesterday would probably have been a good race to try it on and the
returns would have been pretty good to.
Don't ask me how you work out your returns because it is evidently worked
out by Computer.
The bookies rules are quite specific over this type of bet so check them
out before you even think about placing.
The tote have a similar system called the "Exacta" which also includes the
"combinations Exacta" and the "Banker Exacta", check out their betting
rules page for more information.
To finish this subject I have found a really good article on the
differences in the returns between the Bookies and Tote.
