Good morning.
I have been thinking some more about my Ultimate Lay service and come up
with some ideas for banks.
As most of you will know, the biggest problem with lay bets is the
liability that goes with them.
Although we look for lay opportunities where the odds are short, this
increases our risk of backing a horse that could win the race.
When I first got interested in this type of betting I made every effort
not to go over the 2/1 liability, I now know that this is exactly where
most dangers lie.
Looking at the posts in the forum it is evident that peoples idea of risk,
has changed and many members set thier own risk level at 5/1.
So for my new service I thought I would create 3 banks and pick one tip
a day that fell into each catagory.
1. odds-on - Under 2/1
This would be high risk bank, low risk liability and I expect it would
need a staking plan to make it work.
2.0 2/1 - 5/1
This would be Mid risk Bank and Mid risk Liability.
3.00 Anything Over 5/1
Now I was going to put Low risk bank and high risk Liability, but I
expect a lot of people would argue that it is a big risk to your bank
as well just because of the liability.
I would agree with that, but I think the amount of winners in this
catagory would be so high that the odd loser would not effect it much,
but, to find that out would be the whole idea of the test!
We would also have to agree on when we took a snapshot of the exchange
price as it would not be right to base it on SP, on this occasion.
Anyway I welcome any comments regarding this idea.

Bismarck potential, they may not be suitable for laying later in the
day.
Watch market changes before the race.
Exercise caution at odds over 2.8 or where non-runner's have left less
than 5 runner's in a race.
Generally do not lay when wide odds disparity (3.0+) has emerged
between the Favourite and the other runner's.
Quit when your profit target has been reached.
