I get quite a few request for past results of my "Almost certain Nap"
which I am planning on publishing, just not at the moment.
I am still making alterations to the system, so in my eyes (I may be
wrong about this) any changes I make surely invalidates all past
results?
Although I like past results as much as the next person, I use them
as a reference for seeing if changes I have made to a system, have
made a difference, although the subject is far more complex than that.
Past results to be really useful have to reflect like for like, weather,
going etc.
If you have not got these details then you can only use them to test
staking systems or give you the average winning rate, you should
be wary about using past results for anything else.
I know that if you look at past results you can see the longest losing
runs and other things like that, but the truth of the matter is that
no 2 years in horse racing are the same, so even this information could
lead you in to beleving something that is not likely happen again.
The better course of action is to paper trade on live results as they
happen, this way you can see how things are performing now, which is
far better and more accurate.
It needs patience but then to survive at this game, this is a good
lesson to learn!
