The best "Boxgrove" could manage was 6th but it was a very close race.

The Surprise for me was Mr Ramsden "Jake the Snake", but it was my own fault I should have seen that one coming!

It was definately one of "those days" for me yesterday, firstly "Boxgrove" then I gave you all these reasons why "Blue Trojan" was worth an each-way bet only to find out just after I sent the email that he was a Non-Runner.

Then to cap it all the race I said should be fun to watch where "Russian Gigaolo" and "Mighty Strong" would be fighting it was ruined with "Russian Gigaolo" being a non-runner, although you should have picked up on "Mighty Strong" being an "Easy Earner".

At least "Lord Halfnothin" won without any problems.

There are two races I fancy today:

14.50 Taunton, Jupon Vert betting forecast is 11/8.

This is the "My Daily nap" choice as well. This race is not without it dangers and although "Tudour King" is probably classed as the main threat, "Power Unit" and "Just Muckin around" are strong contenders.

I used the speed ratings to confirm this selection and they show "Jupon Vert" at the top.

12.30 Huntingdon, Governor Daniel Betting Forecast is 5/4.

This should in theory be "Governor Daniel" race but the extra couple of furlongs along with his 4 races in less than 3 months worries me.

He is not a young horse anymore and this could just be to much, the problem is, who do you turn to with this doubt in mind?

"Fairtoto" is a winner at this class but doesn't appear to like being in front.

"Cooling Off" whenever he does well it is at around this distance, and he is quite capable of putting Governor Daniel under pressure so is more likely to be a good alternative.
