Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
It's always frustrating when you do not get selections
from a particular system like Millionaire Double Take, especially when you are
testing the selection. Living with this is something you have to learn to cope
with though because it helps you learn patience. It would be easy to adjust the
system so we get a bet every day but we want to try and create a system that
gives us a lot of winners instead.
I mentioned yesterday that we are
going to try a staking plan with the Miracle System(4) top choice. One of the
readers of this email (thanks John) sent in some interesting
information.

also thought I'd try it out to see how it performed. I used the

Ok it is not fantastic but it's not bad
either and it shows with the correct staking plan and enough winners you can
make money with short priced favourites.
I had another staking idea but
John tells me at the moment it is not showing as much profit as the
safebet plan so I may have to rethink that
idea.
Interestingly I have had another email form another reader (thanks
Mervyn) regarding the place system.
"I spent Easter using various
staking systems for your place bet tips. (I must get out more!!) Most produced
poor results except for the Cover to Win system (more on this later) which only
risked 30% of the £100 bank at the worst stage. From Nov to Jan results
it showed a massive 60 point profit using £1 target per day."
So again it shows staking plans can make a difference if you use
the correct one for the selections. That is the trick though and the more
results you have the more you can test. So in some cases you may not have to
find new systems but rather new staking plans. The
Safebet plan and Don Maclean
My Mathematical Formula (Diabolical Staking Plan), are a
couple you could consider.

The concept is to always place 1 point to WIN and 2 points to PLACE
on the same horse. So, there is a risk of always 3 points if the horse does not
place at least.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay
System started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I
have decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I
think I have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I
suspect there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what
that will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort
to record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks
(*) are from the original and tighter system, I am not using these
now.
Udate. I am now stopping at the first winner and changing my
stop loss to £16.00 although I think this may be to high and we should
also stop at the first loser and call it a day. Only time will tell.
