Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
"Millionaires's Row" won yesterday but we lost overall
because it was a dead heat. We also managed to hit the only other dead heat of
the day on the Best Lay of the Day, well at least that save us some of the
loses we would have made.
Just in case you are unsure how this works on
betfair:
If you stake was £2 at odds of 2.42 and the event is a
'dead heat' your stake is halved. £1 of your stake is a winning bet and
settled at the odds of 2.42 therefore your winnings on this part of your stake
are £1.42. However, your losing stake (£1) is then deducted to
determine your return. Your total profit on the bet is £0.42.
Anyway it shows that I am struggling on the Best lay of the Day this
month with another loser.
I was hoping to try out
The
Trading Formula on the dogs yesterday but all my time is pretty much taken
up testing bot's at the moment. I had another read of the Greyhound section and
it certainly seems to be well researched.
We created a new bot for Nick
at http://www.inplaymaster.com/ .
This bot works totally on the in-running market and can back or lay. Nick has
had some very good features added, including watching the prices of several
horses at once. Tthe bot only bets, if all price criteria are
matched.
And of course we have been working hard to get Greyhound Bot 2
finished, we are almost there.
I actually think I am dreaming about bots
at the moment. Time for a break and although I don't like to say it...role on
xmas!

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System
started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*) are
from the original and tighter system.

Well the "Rule of 3" worked well
yesterday as you can see from my
screen shot. In fact 9 (8 taking out Avondale Abu) winners in
a row to start, then things got a little up and down but in the end we still
finished with a winning run of 4, which should have made up any
losses.
