Good morning
Following on from yesterday about flat racing...
Looking at the last 14 years stats available at Adrian's site, you can
start to get a feel for races to bet on and not to.

The first thing that struck me was how better 2 and 3yo do compaired to
older horses and this is probably backed up, by the high pecentage of
maiden winners (43%).
Another couple of things worth noting are the number of runners in a
race and the odds of the favourite.
Whether your trying to create a win or lay system, all these facts can
help you find a starting point for testing.
But you can also use information like this to improve systems and
ideas you may already have.
My own flat system could probably benefit from adding course history,
weight of runner, prize money etc, although this will complicate a
system that already does well, if you have the time it could be worth
the extra effort.
