Thankyou for using Malcolm's Dutch bet Calculater.

How to use this tool.

When creating this Calculator I wanted to make sure it was as flexible as possible and after looking around at other ones available, you should find this one has everything you should want.

Malcolm's dutch bet calculator does not need installing, simply unzip the folder to anywhere on your hard drive and then run the Dutch_Betting.exe.

Once loaded you will see various boxes, here is a description how each works.

Type of bet.

You can choose between:

Stake to bet. If you are just interested in staking a fixed amount then choose this option, the Calculator will work out how much you need to stake on each horse to make a profitable bet.

Profit to Win. If you know how much you want to win then select this option, the calculator will work out what stake you need to place on each horse in order to make this profit.

Odds

You can choose between entering your odds in Decimal or Fractions.

Decimal. More and more companies are showing their prices in decimal and that is why I included this as an option but there is one thing that you have to bare in mind...

Decimals are normally worked out by dividing the left fraction figure, by the right and adding 1 like this:

5/2 = 5 / 2 = 2.5 + 1 = 3.5

So 5/2 is 3.5 decimal.

The calculator expects the decimal exactly like this so it important that if you use decimal odds they are worked out in this way.

If you start getting wired figures or warnings about the bet not being possible then it could be that your decimal has not been worked out adding the 1.

Fraction.

You can simply use the normal published odds that are normal in UK betting.

How many Horses?

This Calculator can work out the bet on 1 to 5 horses, I couldn't see the point of adding any more.

How much do you want to win?

If you have selected the "Profit to win" option then you enter the amount you wish to win in this box.

How much do you wish to stake?

If you have selected the "Stake to bet" option then you enter how much money you wish to stake in this box

Horse

Depending on how many horses you have selected to bet on there will be the same number of boxes showing.

In each box enter the odds in either decimal or fraction (please make sure you have selected the appropriate option).

If you are entering fractions please make sure that you enter 5/2 or 100/30 if it's decimal then simply enter the decimal to two places.

2.30 or 3.50.

Please note you cannot change the contents of any of the other boxes, these are to show you the results.

Finally click the "Calculate" button to work out your bets.

There are two warnings built into the system.

1. "Sorry this is not a possible bet two of the odds are the same" You have entered two or more odds that are the same.
2. "Sorry this is not a workable bet" The software works out a figure based on the odds and stake or profit, if this generates a negative figure then the system will warn you that the bet is unlikely to work. This happens mostly if you are using very low odds on all 3 horses.
