I may have got the horse syndicate email link wrong on Friday, here it

When you use systems to pick horses to win or lose, you tend to ignore
information like, top jockeys and trainers at the course, tracks that
have better favourite strike rates and things like that.
But if you want to get the best from a system it is worth doing a little
resarch.
Here are a couple of things taken from an article at Flatstats.

This probably appeals to layers rather than winners because you should
not be betting on first time runners if you are placing win bets unless
maybe at odds on!
Please remember this article only covers handicap flat races.
It is interesting to note that Sir Mark Prescott wins 28% of the time
with new runners, where as his nearest rival G A Butler can only manage
17% but does a lot better when it comes to first time on all weather(AW).
But Sir Mark Prescott is not the most profitable that acolade goes to
T G Mills with a 58% return on investment.
From a lay point of view I like the table that shows "First Time on Turf
(previously run on All Weather)", stay away from Prescott and Butler and
you chances of a win are very high!
