Good Morning.
Um sorry I made a little error in the working out of how much a £200
bank would grow over 2 years yesterday.
The figures should have been 240 days 2156.94 and 480 days 23,494.60
although it would only take another 54 days to get to the 40K according
to my revised chart.

We will take your answers to the questions and see how they may be
affecting your success later but firstly I want to cover the 3 types
of banks.
Bank type 1 is a play or test bank and if that is exactly what you
intend to use it for that’s fine. Betfair and some of the other
exchanges will let you have 2 accounts but you have to email them
first and tell them you want a second account.
You probably don’t want this bank to be too big and you are only using
it to see how your selections or staking plan react in real life
situation, this is the next step after paper trading.
It does concern me that a lot of people seem to use their main bank as
a test bank, so make the distinction now and stick to it!
Bank Type 2, this is probably the type of bank most people have, it
could be anywhere between £25.00 and £5000 but I suspect if it over
the £2000 mark then unless you are lucky, then you have learned your
trade and are building your bank carefully.
If it is under £200 then you are probably in the area where you see
this bank as a test, but if it is all you have to use and you really
want to build it, then you better start looking at in a different
light.
If your bank is £5000 upwards then you are in a great position and
should be able to really consider how you can use it to make a
difference to your future.
We will have a look at some of the possible strategies for this later
but for now I want to concentrate on bank type 2.
Most exchanges have a minimum stake of £2.00 so if you have a bank of
under £200 then you are not going to be able to keep your stakes to a
low percentage, but you can still be careful.
If your bank is on the smaller side then, it is just going to take a
bit longer to build but that doesn’t mean you should treat it any
different in fact this is the best time to get into good habits ready
for when you have a bank that you can grow on a daily basis.
Firstly if you lose, consider carefully your next bet, it doesn’t
matter if you can not make your money up today, there is always
tomorrow. If you are laying prepare to make up your losses up over
several races.
