Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Sorry I didn't send any other e-mails last week. I decided to have the whole
week off and just go and do something else. Sometimes I just need to do that.
It was good to see Button extend his F1 lead over his nearest rival
Barrichello even if it was only 1pt. After a disastrous qualifying on Saturday
it was great to see him make up so many places in the race.
I have been showing you a selection method that David and I came up with which
gives 4 races a day with 2 selections in each race. One is to Back and one is
to lay. David is calling these the "Making A Living Selections"
although time will tell if that is true!

David put together a results spreadsheet based on stopping when he has made
about £50.

(Please note: This goes back to when David and I started testing the system
which is a couple of months before I started showing them to readers.)
My issue with these results is that David has ignored the price of the lay and
as you know if you have been watching these selections the prices can be very
high and on occasions to high to even consider laying.
Again if you have been following me on this you know I have been looking at
using a liability staking plan instead but using this idea will probably mean I
still have to bet on at least 2 or more races to meet my 1% bank target.
Judging by the results so far, I have decided that I may as well just back and
lay all the selections that I can get within in my liability. At the end of the
day if I lose then I know exactly how much this will be so in that way
everything is controlled.
Judging by the results so far it should be profitable to do it this way.

It is always weird when you see the price of the back selections go so far out
on Betfair as in the case of Dream Number who was 3rd in the betting in the
Daily Mail this morning but is now 7th on Betfair!
It is going to be interesting to watch these for the next couple of weeks to
see how they do.
Picking the best staking plan to suit your selections is so important so that
you can limit your risk and maximise your profit. Getting this part right is
paramount to your success.
