Betting on the Horse
Races
Isn't the
Internet a great place?
One of the first books I read about betting on the horses and
using a system talked about placing your first bet with one bookie in your town
and then getting a bus to another, to place your next bet!
But now while we are online we can have several accounts open
and go from one to the other without having to leave our chair! Here are a
few favourites:
UKbetting.com As the name suggest they are a UK based company who boast
"Early prices, live shows and SP betting from York, Ludlow &
Wincanton" but they will also match your first account deposit up to
£10.00. The
UKbetting.com site is simple to use and I find the information screen about the
horses very clear and easy to read.
Bet365.com Another slick operation, this site covers a far larger selection of
sports to bet on, it seems to be able to trade in just about every currency
going. Bet365.com also have a joining offer, but it is based on your second bet,
I have just found
Sportingbet They offer a wide range of horse racing bets,
and at the moment they are offering 10% signup bonus and a extra bonus if you
reload on a thursday. They have live racing that starts 10 -15 min before
the race.

The other
advantage of having an account with an online bookie is that you can control
your money, it's called having a "Bank" and you should certainly take the idea
on board.
The way I do it is to simply decide each month how much money I am prepared to
bet with, and then go and load my online betting accounts with that money, my
bank money.
I now know how much I have to gamble with and I will not put
another penny in to the accounts until my next bank day, which will be exactly
one calendar month away.
Even if I loose it all in
the first week (I hope I am not that bad!) I will not add more to the accounts
until my bank day.
But it also means if I
have had a good month, and won some money, then I can take my winnings out (if
I wish to have a spend up) and leave enough in there for the next months
gambling, but also, the money I would normally use to top up my accounts with,
can stay in my pocket this month!
That's my
way of doing things, I know some professional gamblers start their Banks at the
beginning of the year, and other's who do it weekly, the choice is yours, just
be sensible and don't bet more than you can afford.
