Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I get the feeling I am
going down with a cold this morning. My wife has been ill all weekend and I
think she may have passed it on to me.
I am meant to be speaking at a
seminar this weekend run by
Bestsafe
Solutions on Saturday so I hope that I am not to ill this week
Only
two meetings today, Plumpton and Taunton. Cheltenham starts tomorrow.
I am not a massive fan of these big meetings, but there are normally some good
opportunities to lay. If I come up with any this week I will let you know.
It wasn't the greatest week with our trials last week, although we are
down to 3 quite reasonable performers. So we can keep trying those for the time
being.
I am sorry, but I didn't get any screen shots on Friday. I had
lost £2.30 on RSA, but I am not worried about that considering we have
won everyday for a while now on this scenario.
I am not sure I will be
able to come up with any new scenario's this week because I am concentrating on
some major upgrades to the
Grey Horse bot so we
have quite a large testing program to get through.
Once the updates are
in place and we can get a beta version out to users then we should be able to
find some interesting new systems especially as the bot is going to be able to
trade out.
Talking of trading...
We have been testing a new
Betfair Games bot that allows you to trade on poker and Black Jack. There is a
download available in the forum.

The version in the forum still needs some work but we are making good
progress and our own test version now allows you to create your own trading
rules.
We will probably do a further update by the weekend if testing
goes well.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay
System started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I
have decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I
think I have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I
suspect there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what
that will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort
to record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks
(*) are from the original and tighter system, I am not using these
now.
You can see all the results since the 14th (when I introduced
the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any losses.
